John has a multi-disciplinary background with a BSc in Sociology from the University of Abuja, a BSc in Computer and Information Systems from Achievers University, Owo, and a Master’s degree in Information Science from the University of Ibadan. He has academic articles and book chapter publications in reputable academic peer-refereed journals and books. He is a cybersecurity professional presently serving with the Office of The National Security Adviser.

John served as The Chairman of the Cyber Secure Nigeria Conference 2019. He is also a professional member of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). His areas of research interest are critical information infrastructure protection, data privacy, cybersecurity education, information security and open-source intelligence gathering.
