He was appointed by SEC Nigeria as Member - Virtual Asset and Fintech Regulatory framework drafting Committee, a Technical Member – Nigeria National Blockchain Strategy under NITDA. He is a member of Global Digital Finance’s KYC/AML working group -a Think Tank for Blockchain Compliance in France, also a member of the Industry led Thinktank that worked on came out with FATF cryptocurrency Travel rule InterMessaging Standard for Virtual Assets (IVMS101) to help combat money laundering and terrorism financing using cryptocurrencies around the globe.
Cybersecurity and Communication Professional
Andrew is a cybersecurity and communication professional currently working with the World Bank as a Digital Development Consultant. An alumni of the U.S Department of State's International Visitors Leadership Programme. He has 12 years experience in cybersecurity and humanitarian response. Andrew is currently a PhD candidate in Security and Strategic Studies with a focus on Cyber Warfare at the Nasarawa State University, Nigeria. He has a master's degree in Computer Forensics from the University of South Wales and a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the Benue State University.
He also works as the course leader/lecturer for the MSc IT & Security at College de Paris (Nigeria Campus).

Tanwa Ashiru is the founder of Bulwark Intelligence Solutions, a top enterprise security risk management company in Africa, and is a Fellow of the Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals (AERMP).
Tanwa is a U.S Air Force veteran and has over 18 years of experience in Intelligence Analysis. She worked in the U.S Department of Defense (DoD), and the U.S National Security Agency (NSA). She served 180 days in Afghanistan and was involved in counter-insurgency, counter IED and counter-terrorism operations in Southwest Asia, Middle East and Africa.
Tanwa was the convener of the first ever Women in Security Conference in Lagos, Nigeria. She has
provided services for various public and private sector organizations including: NATO, Nigerian DIA,
DSS, NIA, U.S Army Africa Forces (USARAF), IBM Nigeria, U.S Embassy Abuja and many more.
Tanwa holds an M.A in Intelligence Studies from the School of Security and Global Studies at American
Military University (AMU), West Virginia, USA. She features regularly in local and international media
publication including: The Guardian Newspaper Nigeria, Channels Television, CNBC Africa, BBC World, TRT, Financial Times, and many more.
Assistant Professor for Security Studies
Dr. Nathaniel Allen is an Assistant Professor for Security Studies, responsible for overseeing the Africa Center’s academic programming on cybersecurity and peace support operations and integrating these considerations into the Center’s research and outreach. His work focuses on cyber issues, emerging technology, civil-military relations, and regional security partnerships across Africa.
Prior to the joining the Africa Center, Dr. Allen was a policy advisor at the U.S. Institute of Peace Task Force on Extremism in Fragile States. He has also worked at the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations, for the Foreign Affairs and the Armed Services Committees of the U.S. House of Representatives, and with NORC at the University of Chicago’s International Projects Department. Dr. Allen’s research has been published in leading policy journals and newspapers. He has received fellowships from American University, the Robertson Family Foundation, and the U.S. Institute of Peace, where he was a 2016-2017 Williams Jennings Randolph Peace Scholar. He is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
